Prior to NIU: Transferred from nearby Kishwaukee Junior College...was a member of the 2006 NJCAA Division II Champion...helped the Kougars to a ninth-place finish in the 2005 National Tournament...collected 193 kills as a freshman and was named to the All-Region First Team and the All-NJCAA Tournament team.

Prep: Served as a co-captain and made All-Little 10 Conference Second Team as a senior at Beaver Dam High School...pushed Beaver Dam to a 37-6 record and a berth in the WIAA Division I State Tournament...was a four-year selection to High Honor Roll.

Club Volleyball: Competed for the USVBA in 2004-05 and was a member of the Wisconsin Power.
