High School: As a four-year varsity letter winner at Veronia High School, Landers led the Loggers to three consecutive trips to the state tournament... As a freshman pitcher she was named honorable mention all-state... She was voted team most valuable player in each of her four seasons and named captain as a senior... Landers was selected to the all-conference team in each of her four seasons in the Northwest/Lewis & Clark League... As both a junior and senior she was named all-area most valuable player and Veronia Athlete of the year... Landers was named State Player of the Year for her junior and senior seasons... In her last season with the loggers she tallied 16 wins with a 1.16 ERA and had a batting average of .606 with five home runs and 48 runs scored... She spent her summers on the AAU circuit with the Vancouver Power, Glacier Gold and the Beaverton Blaze... She was a National Honors Society member.
