Northern Illinois Announces Women's Soccer Spring Schedule

Huskies to play nine games culminating with alumnae match at Huskie Stadium

DeKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois women's soccer team will play nine matches this spring, culminating with an alumnae match at Huskie Stadium on April 27. NIU's spring slate begins March 29 against UW-Parkside in a contest also at Huskie Stadium.

First-year coach Carrie Barker has put together a challenging spring schedule in her first opportunity to get her team on the field. The Huskies' opposition includes defending Missouri Valley Conference regular season champion Illinois State, Horizon League runner-up Loyola, and a pair of Big Ten foes. NIU will also face MAC rival Central Michigan.

In addition to the spring opener against UW-Parkside and the alumnae match finale, NIU will also host Wisconsin at Huskie Stadium on April 27, in a match that precedes the alumnae game.
