Prep: Trained at Energym Sports Campus in Sycamore, Ill., where she competed at Level 10 for one year. Her junior year, she placed fourth in the all-around at USAG State competition, as well as 13th in the all-around at Nationals. In her senior year, she recorded scores of 9.225 and 9.55 at Regional and State competitions, respectively. Equally as impressive, earned honor roll status throughout all four years of high school.

Personal: Daughter of Jay and Patti Hurley of Geneva, Ill. Born Aug. 21, 1989 in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Currently undecided as to what major to pursue. Older sister Ashley, a sophomore, is also a gymnast for NIU.
