2006-07: Had a strong freshman season coming off the bench, playing 30 of the Huskies 31 games...One of the purest shooters on the team, scored 168 points in 390 minutes and averaged 5.6 points a game...Finished second on the team in three-pointers made, connecting on 48-of-126 from beyond the arc...Ranked fourth on the team in three-point percentage (.381)...Hit all 12 of her free throw attempts to lead the team in free throw percentage (1.000)...Tallied five double-digit scoring games, with her career-high of 18 points coming at Kent State (2-7-07) where she went 5-10 from the field...Scored 13 points in NIU's win over Cincinnati (12-2-06) in the Mildred and Roger L. White Invitational at Northwestern...Had a career-high five rebounds in the Huskies' victory at Kansas (12-29-06).

Prep: Four-year varsity letterwinner and two-season starter for Hamilton Southeastern. Earned first team Hoosier Crossroads Conference honors as a senior. Started and played in every game her junior and senior seasons under Coach Happenthal. Prep team won the Conference title four consecutive years and went undefeated in conference play her sophomore through senior seasons. In 2005-2006, named Hamilton County Tourney MVP after scoring a career-high 29 points and breaking the school record of eight treys in a single game. Averaged 13.3 points and 3.5 boards per game as a senior. Earned second team All-State recognition from the Indiana basketball coaches and was a first team All-Area choice by the Indianapolis Star. Invited to the Indiana Top 40 Workout Workshop and played in the North-South All Star Hoosier Basketball Game where she scored 16 points. Selected one of the top 25 seniors in Indiana and was an invitee to the Top 100 Showcase Indiana Girls Basketball in 2005. Scored three-pointer to send the game into overtime in the sectional championship game. Also went 8-for-11 from the field in the season-ending contest. Also lettered one year in softball, golf, and track for one year.

Personal: Oldest of three children of Becky Bunes and Jeffrey York with younger siblings Hunter York (10) and Samantha Burnes (8). Graduated with an academic honors diploma. Also off the court was involved in volunteer work as a peer-tutor for special needs high school students and helped out with Special Olympics. Played AAU basketball for Indiana's Finest Team which ranked in the top 25 at nationals three of the four years played. Major: Undecided. Birthdate: May 17, 1988.
