NIU: Transferred to Northern Illinois after one year at Florida A&M University...will be eligible to play for the Huskies in 2008-2009. Previous School (Florida A&M University): As a freshman, Freeman played in 31 gamesand made 14 starts...She led the Rattlers in scoring, (9.9 ppg) assists (3.4 apg) and free throw percentage (83.5). Prep: As a senior at Lanphier, Freeman averaged 26 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals a game, leading the Lady Lions to a regional championship...The Illinois State Journal Register named her 2006 Central State 8 Conference Player of the Year...She received all-state honors from the Illinois Basketball Service, Champaign News Gazette and Illinois Basketball Coach's Association, also received honorable mention all-state recognitionfrom the Chicago Sun-Times...Freeman closed career at Lanphier with the single-season records for points, assists and steals, making her the team's most valuable player...She also lettered in track and field and tennis.
