2006-07: Went 12-12 with one pin at 141-pounds... did not compete in a MAC Dual match, then made an improbable run at MAC title, advancing to the title match... finished third in MAC Championships as a freshman... placed fourth at Pointer Open at 141-pounds... registered a fifth place finish at the Dan Gable Open at 141-pounds.

2005-06: Picked up his first collegiate victory in a match at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Pointer Open in the 141-pound class... posted a 5-4 record on the season.

High School: A four-time IHSA State Championship qualifier and two-time all-America selection... finished fifth at the Fila Cadet National in 2004... placed in regionals and sectionals four times.

Personal: Son of Kelly and Tim Ruettiger... born March 20, 1987... nephew of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger who was depicted in the 1993 motion picture "Rudy."
