2005:
Finished season as second-leading rusher with 175.6 yards per game and ranked second in all-purpose yards with 200.2. Placed fourth in scoring per game (11.3), seventh in rushing touchdowns (16). Was 11th nationally in both yards per carry (6.5) and touchdowns (17). Posted the second and third-highest single game rushing yardage totals with 277 against Western Michigan and 270 vs. Akron, while setting the NCAA conference championship game record against the Zips. Scored five touchdowns against WMU, the second-highest game total in Division I-A during the season. Gained 393 ground yards and four TDs in first two games of season against Big Ten competition at Michigan (148) and at Northwestern (245). Rushed for 724 yards and nine TDs in final three games (241.3 average) after returning from left knee sprain that resulted in being sidelined for three games.

Posted second consecutive MAC "triple crown" by leading the league in rushing, all-purpose yards, and scoring and was named First-Team all-conference for second straight year. Named MAC Player of the Year by Touchdown Club of Columbus, Ohio and CollegeFootballNews.com. Voted MAC Championship Game West Division MVP and collected three MAC West Offensive Player of the Week honors during the year.

Won team MVP honors for second year in row despite missing three late-season games. Received Heisman Trophy votes and earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from CollegeFootballNews.com and All-Mayday Team accolade from ESPN. Named National Player of the Week by the Sporting News after performance against Western Michigan.

2004:
Went from third on the depth chart to nation's leading rusher and scorer late in season. Burst onto scene with 204 second-half yards vs. Bowling Green in nationally televised game. Averaged 210.0 yards per game while gaining 1,470 and 17 TDs in final seven regular season contests. Posted four games with 200 yards or more during season, including NIU record 325-yard output against Eastern Michigan.

Placed third in the NCAA in season scoring (126), touchdowns (21), and all-purpose yards (1,773) while ranking fourth in rushing touchdowns (18) and fifth in rushing yards (1,656). Held top NCAA game marks for touchdowns (four vs. Central Michigan), rushing attempts (43 vs. Eastern Michigan) and had the second-highest rushing yardage total with 325 against Eastern Michigan.

Established eight school records, including single-game rushing, single-game all-purpose yards, single-season scoring and single-season touchdowns.

Won MAC "Triple Crown" by leading the league in rushing, scoring and all-purpose yards. Selected as First-Team All-MAC and earned MAC West Offensive Player of the Week four times.

Selected team's Offensive MVP. Named Honorable Mention All-America by CNNSI.com All-America and CollegeFootballNews.com All-America. Honored by CollegeSportsReport.com as First-Team Sophomore All-America.

2003:
Sidelined by institutional academic guidelines. Entered season as No. 2 tailback behind Michael Turner. Rushed for 71 yards on 11 carries in spring game.

2002:
Redshirted and began collegiate career as No. 9 tailback on depth chart.

Prep:
All-state selection each of final two years after totaling 4,311 rushing yards and 56 touchdowns as upperclassman. Graduated with 11 school records and recorded seven of school's top-10 rushing performance. Named team Offensive MVP, First-Team Catholic League All-Red Metro Division and league MVP, First-Team Pioneer Press All-Area, Special Mention Chicago Sun-Times All-Area and Area Top 100 Prospect, and Special Mention Chicago Tribune All-State after rushing for 2,041 yards and 24 TDs on 288 attempts as senior. Won team Offensive MVP honor, First-Team Catholic League All-Metro Red Division and league MVP, First-Team Pioneer Press All-Area, First-Team Chicago Sun-Times All-Area and First-Team Class 4A-6A All-State, Special Mention Champaign News-Gazette All-State after junior campaign, First-Team Chicago Tribune All-State, and PrepStar magazine All-America after leading Chicago area in rushing with 2,270 yards and 32 TDs on 272 carries as junior and averaging 42.0 yards per kickoff return with three touchdowns (91, 89, and 87 yards) and 36.5 yards per punt return with one score. Transferred from Fenwick High School and competing as sprinter on track team as freshman.
