2008 Football Season Ticket Information and Order Forms DeKALB, Ill. - Season tickets for Northern Illinois 2008 home football schedule are on sale now and renewal forms have been sent to all 2007 season ticket holders, the Huskie Athletic Ticket Office announced Tuesday. In honor of new Head Coach Jerry Kill and the six-game (dates and opponents TBA) home schedule at Huskie Stadium, Northern Illinois is extending a special offer to all of its 2007 season ticket holders. Between now and April 26, 2008, everyone who purchased NIU football season tickets last year can get tickets to every 2008 home game at last year's prices. That's just $95 for all six 2008 home games for 2007 season ticket holders only. "Huskie Football remains one of the best sports entertainment values in the Chicagoland area," said NIU Deputy Associate Athletic Director Glen Krupica. "As we continue efforts to grow our season ticket base, we wanted to reward our most loyal fans with the opportunity to purchase their 2008 season tickets at last year's five-game price. By ordering now, those fans will, in effect, see one game for free this season." After April 26 - the date of Northern Illinois' 2008 spring football game at Huskie Stadium - the basic price for both renewals and new season tickets will be $110, or an average of just $18.33 per game for six great home games. That average figure is actually lower than the 2007 season ticket average cost of $19 per ticket. Fans can order their 2008 season tickets on the internet by clicking on the "Tickets" link at www.niuhuskies.com, over the phone by calling 815-752-6800 or at the NIU Athletics Ticket Office in the Convocation Center. For 2008, Northern Illinois is adding a three-game ticket package or season ticket "mini-plan" which will consist of three specific games. The games in the mini-plan package will be announced after the release of the 2008 schedule. Cost of the mini-plan season ticket will be $55.
Faculty and staff, members of the NIU Varsity (former letterwinners) Club and Senior Citizens will once again be able to purchase discounted season tickets at the price of $94 in 2008, or $15.67 per ticket. Season tickets will also be available for the 2007 pricing ($79) to any renewing season ticket holder in those categories who purchases the tickets by April 26. Season ticket do provide a significant savings from single game purchases as single game tickets will be $20 each with the Homecoming game tickets priced at $24. Group tickets are available for groups as small as 20 people for $12 per ticket, while larger groups receive even better discounts.
