2007: Reserve free safety appeared in eight games and started the Ball State (11-24) contest. Also contributed on special teams. Ranked sixth on the team among defensive backs with 34 tackles, 14 solo. Recorded one forced fumble, one recovered fumble and two pass break-ups. Suffered a left knee sprain in the season-opener vs. Iowa (9-1). Made three tackles and forced one fumble in his return at Temple (10-6). Totaled a career-high 11 stops, four solo, at Wisconsin (10-20). Credited with nine tackles, recovered a fumble and had one pass break-up at Toledo (10-27). Made four tackles at Navy (11-17). Posted five tackles and one pass break-up vs. Ball State (11-24). 2006: Saw action in all 13 games with time in defensive backfield and on special teams. Totaled 16 tackles, seven solo. Made two stops at Ohio State (9-2). Had solo tackle vs. Buffalo (9-16). Recorded three tackles vs. Indiana State (9-23). Posted season-high four stops, including three solo, at Miami (10-8). Credited with two tackles against Temple (10-21). Had one solo tackle vs. TCU in Poinsettia Bowl (12-19).
2005: Redshirted. High School: Named team co-captain and co-MVP, and team Leadership Award recipient, first team All-Northern Indiana Conference, first team Elkhart Truth All-Area, first team South Bend Tribune All-Dream Team, first team Indiana Football Coaches Association All-Region, and honorable mention Bloomington Herald-Times All-State as a senior. Totaled 103 tackles, one fumble recovery, and one interception for Class 5A playoff qualifier during senior year. Earned first team All-Northern Indiana Conference honors after 86 tackles, four blocked kicks, and three pass thefts as a junior. Credited with 46 tackles as a sophomore and 34 during freshman season. Two-sport all-state selection. Four-time letterwinner in football and track and earned three letters in basketball.
