2007: Started all 12 games at right guard and served as the team's backup center. On the field for all but 17 offensive snaps during the season. Ranked first or second in the offensive line grades in eight games. Key part of the offensive line that led the way for Justin Anderson to record the ninth-straight 1,000-yard rushing season by a Huskie tailback. Graded out at 80 percent or higher in eight contests. Totaled six knockdown blocks vs. Eastern Michigan (9-15). Credited with a five-yard pass reception in the game after a Dan Nicholson throw bounced off an EMU defender into his hands. The catch kept NIU's final drive alive and helped set-up a potential game-winning field goal. Credited with six knockdowns vs. Central Michigan (9-29). Led all offensive linemen with an 84 percent grade, the top mark of any NIU player for the year, at Wisconsin (10-20). Notched a team season best nine knockdown blocks in the win over Kent State (11-10).

2006: Played in all 13 games with five starts, four at right guard and one at center. Graded at 86 percent and totaled 21 knockdown blocks. Made collegiate debut in reserve role at Ohio State (9-2). Had season-best seven knockdown blocks from right guard position in first collegiate start at Ball State (9-30). Started at right guard at Miami (10-8). Anchored line as starting center at Iowa (10-28). Starting right guard for final two regular season contests vs. Central Michigan (11-17) and at Eastern Michigan (11-24). Saw time vs. TCU in Poinsettia Bowl (12-19). Coach Joe Novak called him "the top freshman offensive lineman" he has seen. Entered season ranked No. 56 nationally among incoming offensive lineman by Phil Steele's College Football Preview.

High School: Named team captain, first team Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference, first team Indianapolis Star Super Team and 2005 Mr. Football Position Award (O-line), and first team Associated Press Class 5A All-State on 14-1 league and state champions as senior. Graded 95 percent on blocking assignments and helped pave the way for state's Mr. Football (QB Dexter Taylor) and offense that averaged nearly 500 yards per game as senior. Named to Max Emfinger High School All-American Bowl Game Classic after senior campaign. Entered final prep season ranked fifth in preseason Midwest "Power 50", and listed among "Next 100 Players to Watch" by The Sporting News and Rivals.com Midwest Top 150. First team All-MIC and first team All-State honoree on 13-2 state championship team as junior. Played center, guard and defensive tackle during high school career. Four year Honor Roll student.
