2007: Appeared in 11 games and started two at defensive tackle at Idaho (9-22) and at Wisconsin (10-22). Credited with seven total stops on the year, including two solo. Made his collegiate debut as a member of the field goal block unit in the season-opener against Iowa (9-1). Made two tackles and was credited with a quarterback hurry in the Idaho game. Recorded one tackle at Wisconsin. Totaled a career-high three tackles, one solo, vs. Western Michigan (10-13).

2006: Redshirted.

High School: Team captain, first team South Seven Conference, first team Belleville News-Democrat All-Area, and first team St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro as senior. Recorded 117 overall tackles, 13 QB sacks, and two fumble recoveries on defense and added six receptions for 73 yards and two touchdowns on offense for Class 5A playoff semifinalist during senior season. Selected for Down Under Bowl all-star game after senior campaign. Earned first team All-South Seven Conference honors at TE and DE after totaling 31 tackles and 11 sacks for playoff qualifier as junior. Played nine different positions during prep career. Three-time football letterwinner and also lettered in basketball and track. Averaged 10 points per game during final basketball season. Shot putter on track team. Honor Roll student.
