2007: Started in six games and appeared in eight at weakside linebacker. Sat out four games, two at the beginning and two at the end of the year, with injury. Totaled 55 tackles, three for loss, with a sack, one interception, two pass break-ups and one fumble recovered. Ranked ninth on the team in tackles and was fifth in assisted stops. Recorded four tackles, one-and-a-half for loss, one sack and one pass break up vs. Iowa (9-1). Hit double figures in tackles three times. Led the team with a career-high 11 tackles and had one pass break-up against Eastern Michigan (9-15). Credited with 10 tackles at Idaho (9-22). Made 10 stops, with a tackle for loss at Temple (10-6). Had seven tackles against both Western Michigan (10-13) and Wisconsin (10-20). Also picked-off a pass and returned it 18 yards in that game. Recovered a fumble versus Central Michigan (9-29) to go with six stops.

2006: Started 12 of 13 games played and ranked fifth on team with 72 tackles. Recorded three tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, one sack, one interception, one pass break up and one hurry. Made first collegiate start and racked up eight tackles and one rumble recovery vs. Ohio (9-9). Totaled seven tackles, including first collegiate sack, against Buffalo (9-16). Had six tackles, one for loss, and broke up a pass vs. Indiana State (9-23). Made seven stops at Ball State (9-30). Intercepted a pass and had two tackles at Miami (10-8). Registered eight tackles at Western Michigan (10-14). Racked up nine stops, including a tackle for loss, at Iowa (10-28). Made six tackles against Toledo (11-7). Recovered fumble in eight-tackle outing vs. Central Michigan (11-17). Totaled eight tackles vs. TCU in Poinsettia Bowl (12-19).


2005: Redshirted.

High School: Named team captain and MVP, first team All-Tri-Metro Conference, first team KARE-TV All-Metro, and honorable mention Minneapolis Star-Tribune All-State as senior. Tabbed finalist (20 candidates) for state's Mr. Football during final season. Completed 32-of-79 passes for 578 yards and 14 TDs and totaled 801 yards and 10 TDs on 75 attempts as QB. Added 54 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions on 10-1 league champion and playoff qualifier as a senior. Produced 2,540 yards total offense and 36 TDs in last two seasons after collecting 169 tackles, 14 sacks, and seven interceptions in four years on defense. Three-year all-league selection. Named team captain and first team All-TMC after completing 23-of-51 passes for 552 yards and six TDs, and adding 609 ground yards and six TDs on 78 attempts during junior campaign. Caught six passes for 100 yards at WR and posted 54 tackles at strong safety on league champion as a sophomore. Earned four letters in football, three in track and one in basketball.
