High School: Team captain and Defensive Player of the Year, first team All-Big 12 Conference at DB and second team All-Big 12 at WR, first team Champaign News-Gazette All-Area at DB and Special Mention at WR as senior. Had 36 receptions for 615 yards (17.1 avg.) and six TDs as receiver, totaled 34 tackles, six interceptions, four blocked kicks as defensive back and averaged 39.9 yards per punt on 33 boots for 6-4 state Class 6A playoff qualifier during senior year. Second team All-Big 12 with 28 catches for 402 yards (14.3 avg.) and four TDs while totaling 28 tackles for playoff qualifier as junior. Caught 22 passes for 273 yards (12.4 avg.) and two TDs as sophomore. Three-time letterwinner in football and basketball. Team captain on basketball team during senior season. National Honor Society member, Big 12 Conference Leadership Award, and Dean's List student.
