Senior forward Shaun Logan enters his final season as a member of the NIU men's basketball team and the Eldridge, Iowa native took some time out of his day to let Huskie fans learn more about himself. Nickname: Logie. Favorite Musical Artist: Garth Brooks. I grew up listening to him when he was pretty big. Favorite Sports Movie: Remember the Titans. It was a well made movie that was very inspirational. Favorite TV Show: Rescue Me. It's exciting and funny, and I want to be a firefighter after college. Favorite Pro Sports Team: The Dallas Cowboys have always been my favorite team since I was little. Childhood Idol: My older brother Rusty. I've always looked up to him. Team I'd like to see added to the schedule: Duke. I would love to play at Cameron Indoor Arena and against them once in my life. Best Part About Living in DeKalb: Living the dream with Ben Rand, Ryan Paradise, Egan Grafel, Adam Terrell and Zach Pancratz on Regent. My First Memory of Basketball: When I got moved up to varsity as a sophomore in high school, finishing second in the state tournament and being named a captain at the tournament.
Toughest Place I Ever Played: Michigan, because it was a big school with a lot of fans. Hobbies: Hunting and fishing. Magazine Cover I'd Like To Be On: Sports Illustrated because I am a big sports fan. Most People Don't Know This But: I'm an outdoors person that likes to hunt and fish. Places I'd like to Visit: Anywhere out of the midwest that is warm and tropical because I have never been to a place like that. My Most Memorable Moment In College Athletics: In junior college when we finished second in the country twice. If I Didn't Play College Basketball I Would: Football. It was my next best sport. Who Had the Greatest Impact on My Life: My parents. They have taught me to be a good person and help me grow up to be the person I am today. Pre-Game Rituals: I listen to music and get dressed the same way. Best Advice From A Coach: Work harder than the rest of them. You may not always be the best athlete, but if you work harder and do the little things, you will always play. If I had $1 billion I would: Buy a nice house and car and save the rest. I would rather save it then spend it. Maybe I'd take a nice vacation too. One Thing I Wish I Were Better At: Singing. Anybody that can sing is popular with the girls. My Most Prized Possession: My dad's chain that he always had on. It's the one thing I have of his that is priceless. Best Concert I've Ever Attended: Brooks and Dunn. I like their music and put on a good show. Most Famous Person I've Ever Met: Ben Rand. If you've ever been in Rochelle with Ben, he's a living legend. |
