DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois' Adam Holdenrid (Mendota, Ill./Mendota) was named the MAC West Pitcher of the Week after his complete game victory Saturday at Buffalo. The senior lefthander earned his second honor of the month after a March 4 award.

Holdenrid hurled his first career complete game and limited the Bulls to three hits, one walk and one earned run while registering a career-high nine strikeouts. He faced just four batters over the minimum and allowed one hit after the fourth inning. The lone run scored against Holdenrid came on a third inning groundout.

For the year, Holdenrid owns a 3-1 record and a 2.39 ERA in four starts and has 21 strikeouts in 26.1 innings. His next start is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at Bowling Green.
