Victor E. Court is the competition home of Northern Illinois volleyball and wrestling.

The 800-seat gymnasium is one part of the $36-million Convocation Center, built in 2002 to be the heart of Northern lllinois' athletics complex, and the entertainment center of DeKalb.

Named for NIU mascot Victor E. Huskie, the court has seen its share of Northern Illinois athletics glory since the Huskie volleyball team opened the gym with a 3-1 win over IUPUI, August 30, 2002.

One of the team's most memorable seasons in V.E.C. came in 2006, when the Huskies opened and closed a Mid-American Conference West Division Championship season with wins in the gym. The Huskies have also earned victories over Mississippi State and Kansas, and have hosted eight tournaments at Victor E. Court. The team passed a milestone when it recorded its 50th win at Victor E. Court with a 3-0 sweep of Ball State, November 9, 2007.

The Northern Illinois wrestling team has also had its share of remarkable moments while competing at Victor E. Court. Most notably, the Huskies toppled No. 5 Northwestern, 22-19, in front of 751 fans on November 30, 2007.

In addition to hosting Huskie volleyball and wrestling, Victor E. Court also provides additional practice space for the Northern Illinois men's and women's basketball teams.
